The Sword and the Stallion
British Fantasy Award 1975.
The sword – the finest blade ever forged by Goffanon the Dwarf and the master-smith Sunthief. Its magical properties can be awakened by only one man.
The stallion – the fierce yellow stallion who will allow no one to ride him unless his heart is pure. Prince Corum, Champion Eternal, proves himself worthy of both, and thus armed and mounted he sets off on his greatest, his most desperate quest yet – to suppress for all eternity the horrible Gods of Limbo who hold the Earth in thrall.
But there are dangers other than those of battle. There are wizards, dragons and, most dangerous of all, humans, whose webs of treachery and deceit threaten to ensnare Corum constantly.
