Both the daughters of Camilla Gomez have reason to celebrate. One will soon experience what she had always considered the greatest joy of marriage, while the other will find success in the business world beyond her fondest dreams. Ah, but such a state cannot go on forever. Before too long a dastardly deed will cast a pall on one of their lives.

Frank will not be allowed to investigate the crime because he is “too close” to the victim. The detectives assigned to the case are average at best. Frank realizes both the Gomez girls despise his genius friend Ernie, and the assigned detectives know him only by his bad reputation. Can Frank pull the strings from above the stage to let Ernie tackle the crime?
